Kettle calling the pot black

Disclaimer: Am no supporter of any party....but this is how things seem from a Ring Side View

The flank taken by Left/UNPA/BSP and others for critizing Congress's victory in the trust vote as immoral...is a clear case of kettle calling the pot black

What did they expect...congress to sit idle while they lured the congress MPs away...having beaten at their own game the opposition is crying foul...all I say is dont hate the player...hate the game...and if you are so concerned change the rules of the game you play...its tough...but the right path often is

So you want to fight elections on the plank of nuclear deal, inflation and agricultural crises...nice that you have voiced the mass populi...but where is your so called ten point agenda or soultion to the problem...I have seen/heard not one word come out in any public debate on that...?...I would say go back to the drawing board

Driving Mad in Delhi

Road sense and Delhites never seems to go hand in hand. The average Delhi-ite has an aversion to traffic rules...Jumping Redlight is a must, Lane driving is a strict no no, giving indicators while changing lanes or before taking a turn is a blasphemy in his psyche.

Allergic to rules would be a better descreption....you can see the symptoms in Road rage and Chaos. Blame the former on weather and later on the inevitable hurry that a Delhi-ite always seems to be in.

There are features that appear in the media attributing the scorching mercury of not only impacting a rise in temperature but tempers as well. But what about Winters. As per a natural extension of the theory floated Delhi-ites should be the most charming and relaxed of people in autumn. But it seems traffic and roadsense seems to get frozen with the climate...or do they become ice cold monsters running amok

And no Sir, it is not just your regular cabbie in ferrying the bpo-ites to their destination. Even the average middle class owner of four wheels seems to have foot on the pedal.

To empathise with... the hurry syndrome may be a possible outcome of someone having warned the Delhiite that the world as we know is about to end... so scoot off to the nearest parking hole for safety... Or is it a perceived threat of the city under some kind of nuclear strike.

Efforts by the establishment at bettering the life meet a dead end. What with a Delhi-ite ever zealous...to prove true the adage "More things change...more they remain the same" You broaden the road and they will creat a rush of chaos if the road is narrow they will create a jam of chaos.

You will have half a dozen cops manning the speed limits on relatively empty roads at peak hours in the morning...but congested crossings and intersections will be left unmanned...thus creating an early morning nuisance for the commuter.

The guy at the wheel on a bus feels like a ravaging speed Godzilla ...ready to mow down anything that comes in its way...or as much as dare to over take it.

The cabbie at the wheel will incessantly honk the horn...in the hope that the vibrations of sounds from his horn will move away the traffic in front of him thus creating a free lane for him to whizz past...

The priveliged motorcade guys seem to be theonly one to be zipping away...equiped with armed commandoes to make their journey faster...while the average joe drags in his latest fancy on four wheels

Smoke in peace

Are you smoking?... don't you know 'smoking kills'...it will ruin your lungs...it kills you before your time...blah!blah!blah!

rarely have I comes across so much concern from one human being for another...or is it that...saying it is a politically correct statement ...just the right thing for projecting your image as a caring elder...or a statement of saying I think different/against the norm

I mean thousands of us will readily leave a person dying in a road accident rather than assist him/her to reach the hospital... and this will weigh the least on our conscience...but smoking is a different ball game alotgether ...Maybe It is easier to wag the tounge than wriggle the hands...

Or is it that non smokers have this false hidden inferiority complex against the smokers...that urges that them to say/beg/plead...oh please be like me...coz I dont have the willingness to be like you...Why propogandize the herd mentality for non smoking..

If you have a problem if I smoke say it and I will move away from that place...or smoke later...depending upon the importance you have in my life...

Employers are anyways overburdened keeping a tab on...timewasted on the internet...and other trivial pursuits...not to mention more important stuff like employee performance..career progress...Mr. Minister has put an added burden of tracking the smokers least they attract a fine...What an innovative way to get policing free of cost...

Mr. Mr. their are far more important things to be taken care off...

so come smoke the peace pipe and let the smokers be

Ironically cool...

Being cool is in ... Everyone from an eight year old and less to twenty eight years and above is busy to establish himself as cool...
Now I am cool (pun intended) as far as the definition of the topic in question goes...One of the simplest definition of cool is to be at complete ease with what you are or with what you are doing...in other words being comfortable with ones unique self

What humors me is the trap that the trend of being cool carries with it...
...is breaking the rules cool because you do not identify with certain established norms...or...breaking the rules is cool just because everyone else is doing it...

The girl I was dating at college raved on wearing designer labels, branded eye glasses and hanging out at some of the hippest joints frequented by the 'masses' (blame the population boom, globalization and liberalisation for the 'masses' replacing the elite few) was cool... and how people other than that were to be looked down upon...

...and here I was, absolutely cool... wearing any piece of denim that was durable and made me comfy...putting on t's with appealing colour and style that suited my build... black shades that protected me both from the harsh summer sun and UV rays...

...our relationship did not last a second day due to the difference in our view points... but I was cool...with it...
Other evening at the party of a colleague...a common friend of ours remarked that working with corporate giants offering fat pay package...tantalizing perks...stock options... and flashy designations was cool...and how people not on this bandwagon were missing the time of their life...
...now I don't have a thing against big corporations...or for that matter any thing big...Infact I order my chocolate milkshake and sandwiches 'big' ...but hey thats besides the point...
...I enjoy my job that offers a decent pay package suitable to my skills and experience...a participative work environment with lots of opportunities to grow...a relaxed but steady pace of work...and sufficient time off to devote to my life other than work...basically family, hobbies and stuf...and am perfectly cool with it....
So my question to you is... Are you cool because you are unique ...or... you are cool because you are unique just like everyone else....Whatever is your take or response... I am cool mate :)

Fear

Illogical, unreasonable, apocalypse like fear...a dark, creepy, mindnumbing fright
Fear of losing the one object you really care for...terrifying thoughts of losing the ones closest to you
A Cold, grey, morbid uneasiness develops...as clock ticks the seconds away
Disturbing, unclear, undefined....a hazy awareness of fate
Fear of facing the consequences of ones actions...in anticipation of destruction from the unknown
It came with the darkeness and engulfed me in its wraps
and was gone...with the first rays of the approaching dawn
